A good (or great) website invites readers to learn more and adds trust to your relationship, which increases conversions. Content can either be poorly made or thoroughly researched – you can guess which one naturally improves SEO and reader retention.
Local Fort Collins, Colorado community hub for analog fun of all kinds from board and card games to tabletop RPG materia for D&D, Cthulhu, and such. Past projects include management of their social media, inventory, and website.
A community-driven and professionally-sanctioned cycling event company with four upcoming races this year! “We strive to provide a rewarding experience for beginners to pros with the opportunity to challenge themselves on exciting courses in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.”
Thus far, I’ve edited their WordPress site, created a Constant Contact newsletter template, wrote a blog post “Winter Cycling Tips”, created new posts for their social media, and assisted in event coordination.
A wholesale and retail distributor of high-quality hemp products and extracts based in Asheville, NC. This mecca town for healing attracted me to help others, while I learned more on my wellness journey. I worked with them from my initial move to Asheville in late-2016, until my departure to new lands in Colorado, late this 2018.
From our collaborations, I solidified my experience in blog writing, web design and editing, graphic design, social media management, and others, as well as assisted in acquiring and training their new Social Media and Retail Manager.
“Haven Healing Center is an uplifting space for individuals and families to receive the most cutting edge approach to spinal remodeling and healing. Their center is a haven for those who have lost hope or are looking to transform their lives and reach their greatest expression of youth and vitality. Dr. Alaina has done ongoing extensive training in the specialty of spinal biomechanics and corrective chiropractic care through certifications in Chiropractic Biophysics.”
We worked together on a variety of tasks. Despite Wix’s bulky builder, I cleaned up some of her website, added newer photos, better text layouts, and more – here’s the before and after. I also updated her business card design, created a new email newsletter template in Constant Contact, and published a LinkedIn page for the business to facilitate connections with business professionals such as office workers with tendencies for compromised postures.
Their holistic approaches to health include chiropractic, massage, myofascial release, nutrition, orthotics, and at home rehabilitation through exercises and lifestyle changes. From a wellness standpoint, I assisted patients with their therapies such as traction, and almost incorporated my yoga teachings as an offering. For the practice, I created digital media such as a poster for events, a social media account @greenhandschiro that they now manage, and introduced a local hemp extract to their patients that now helps many of their patients and sales.
A human rights organization dedicated to rescuing persecuted people from positions of vulnerability, assisting them on the road to recovery, and providing aftercare for the survivors and their families long term. They investigate human trafficking hotspots worldwide and transition victims to safe housing, counseling, education, job training, alcohol and substance abuse prevention & intervention, and other services that lead survivors to self-sufficiency. The Abolish Slavery mission is to rescue and restore the lives of victims who have fallen into human trafficking. They work at home in the United States and internationally, providing for protection, the rescue of the victims, shelter, and other services to help victims move forward with their lives. I created their new logo, and actively assist in providing Instagram content. Soon, we will revamp their website and fundraising efforts.
“One World Medical Mission (OWMM) is a global non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to providing relief and empower oppressed members of multi-ethno-religious communities around the world. Past missions include Honduras, while current missions are focusing on the Middle East.”
I created their new website using a WordPress template. The previous site’s slider and other elements were buggy, and was too code-heavy for the founder to use – here’s a link to view what it used to look like. I have also created various deliverables like a professional resume for the business owner.
